The user interface of SilverFast 9 is newly developed to current standards so that you can access all major functions quickly and easily. The SilverFast Preview Concept allows you to see the result of any adjusted setting in the preview window immediately. Turning your analog originals into convincing scans is very simple, with complex operations becoming like child's play. As a kind of assistant, it guides you in the correct order through all the processing steps required for your individual workflow. The WorkflowPilot, a unique feature, is a core element of the new software. In combination with a variety of innovative ideas and the usage of current software technology, SilverFast 9 has evolved into what we can proudly present as the best scanner software. LaserSoft Imaging has gained over 25 years of experience in the development of imaging software. no deal.SilverFast (Epson) is LaserSoft's software for Epson scanners. anything else is very dodgy indeed.Īnyone of you 圆4 Jedi's out there have any wisdom to share with us.? I've tried the compatability mode thing with the icon etc. I mean the most stable kit I've had since Win 2k so this is a shock to me trying to get scanning software to function on a 64 bit vista machine.Įpsons own twain works fine and dandy, thanks to their latest driver. My Home Premium 圆4 is fairly new and came on a pre built system (see below) it runs so stable it's scary. I even got it to blue screen on me and dump everything. I've just downloaded the Vuescan trial, and I get the same thing as I did with Silverfast. out the window goes my Silverfast Ai for my Epson V750 pro scanner. they have said so to me on their forum and they (of course) blame Bill gates for writing software etc. Silverfast does not work at all with 64 bit. > problem is with Smart Panel and to call Newsoft (but I tell them > nothing happens! Scanner works fine in XP, works fine in Vista using WIA. Then they tell me it's a Smart Panel issues (wait, I thought we covered this already). First they tell the problem is with Smart Panel and to call Newsoft (but I tell them Epson Scan - their utility doesn't work), then the have me uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Send email to Epson and get little or no help. Purchase new Epson Smart Panel from Newsoft because the old one did not work for Vista - that doesn't see the scanner at all (again, it uses the TWAIN interface). And nothing happens! Elements does not see the scanner as a TWAIN interface, just as a WIA interface. Head over to Epson, snag the 3.04A TWAIN drivers + Epson Scan. Notice that I am missing the Epson Scan routine and Adobe Elements doesn't have the scanner listed as a TWAIN interface, just WIA. Hook up Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner - Vista finds it and scanner works via WIA interface. Installed Vista Ultimate 64 (clean install) in a dual-boot mode with Windows XP Pro.
